Throughout this twelve week program we will meet two hours weekly to discuss all the ins and outs of pregnancy, labor and birth including:
Proper nutrition for healthy mom and healthy baby
How the body works and changes during pregnancy
Exercises to prepare the body for labor
Relaxation techniques to aid the body in normal labor and birth
Natural pain management
Strategies to avoid unnecessary interventions
Comfort measures during pregnancy and labor
Stages of labor and how your coach can assist you through each one
Writing a birth plan
Preparing your trusted labor support person to be an excellent birth coach
In addition to all the knowledge you will gain, classes serve as a welcoming (and fun) space to meet others in the community who are going through the same stage of life as you.
