"My husband and I met Gabrielle through the Bradley Method class. I fell in love with her passion for
birth, and education, surrounding the birthing process. I enjoyed her animation and theatrical
performances as she prepared the mamas and papas to be for what to expect during labor. Once our
class ended, we chose to hire Gabrielle as our doula. Gabrielle was a source of evidence based
knowledge and support. She allowed the opportunity and freedom for my husband and I to make our
decisions. I dearly wanted a home birth, but due to an unforeseen issue, I ended up needing to deliver at
a local hospital. I was pregnant during the COVID-19 Pandemic and the hospital policy was that only one
support person and one doula was allowed in the hospital with me. I chose to be induced at 41 weeks
and 6 days. Once labor started to pick up around the am, I called her and she made a speedy trip to the
hospital. I was having intense frequent contractions and I was laboring in the hospital shower when she
arrived. She sat on the toilet next to me for hours as I labored. She helped me to focus and calm my
thoughts. Gabrielle reassured me that I was doing great and encouraged me to continue on. There
came a point in my labor where I no longer had the capacity to focus on anything but the work my body
was doing. I remember distinctly laboring forehead to forehead with Gabrielle as she coached me
through the relaxation and breathing techniques. Gabrielle had a very comforting, assertive and kind
way of communicating with me during labor – I trusted her deeply and felt that she knew what I was
feeling every step of the way. Gabrielle cheered for me and captured the most precious photos of my
baby as he emerged, 7 pounds and 8 ounces of pure joy. Gabrielle was able to advocate for my wants
and needs, which were on the birth plan my husband and I had created and reviewed prior to delivery.
Gabrielle was my angel in the delivery room. For anyone considering Gabrielle as their doula, I
vehemently encourage you to choose her. There are not enough words to tell you how instrumental she
was in making my delivery during a pandemic a lovely, memorable experience. I believe that God gives
us all gifts and calls us to different areas in life. Gabrielle is clearly working in the God giving calling for
her life, she is such a gift to birthing mamas. I will be forever grateful for her.
