Serving as a doula for Karen, David, and baby Benjamin - July, 2012
"This birthing series helped prepare my husband
and I for childbirth. While the focus is on delivering naturally, we
were also taught how to get our body in top shape throughout my
pregnancy. We learned that eating well and exercising helps to prepare
your body for anything. I loved
the focus on a support person/coach that goes through the class as well
to prepare for child birth and how to help the mother. The various guest
speakers helped answer questions regarding breastfeeding, using a doula
if desired and using massage to alleviate pain. I would recommend this
class to any pregnant woman, regardless if a medication free delivery is
desired or not. Sarah is an amazing instructor with compassion for the
subject matter as well as her students!" - Krista H.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
The Bradley Method® is a practical, natural approach to childbirth
emphasizing purposeful nutrition, targeted prenatal exercises,
pain-reducing relaxation techniques, all underscored by the training of fathers as labor coaches.
The
key to successfully having a natural birth is preparation. Over the course of 12 classes,
students learn to stay low-risk, avoid an episiotomy, make informed medical decisions... all while gaining a thorough and confidence-building understanding of pregnancy, stages of labor, optimal
birth positions, breastfeeding and more!
ALL expectant mothers and their coaches
are welcome regardless of marital status!

"Choosing to take your class is definitely one
of the things that made it possible for me to achieve a pain medication
free natural childbirth. My water broke 2 weeks early and I wasn't
progressing so I ultimately ended up needing pitocin to get things
moving but the things I learned in class allowed my coach and I to
advocate for ourselves in the hospital and ultimately end up with the
positive birth experience we were hoping for. Thanks for all you taught
us." - Andrea T.
